£50

Explore the natural wonders of Tahiti, the heart of French Polynesia. Learn about the history of Tahiti while soaking up panoramic views.

Your first stop will be on the East Coast at the beach of Pointe Venus, a black sand beach, known to be the historic landing site of many explorers such as Captain Cook and Captain Bligh. The beach includes a commemorating monument to Captain Cook. Said to be the spot from which Captain Cook watched the planet Venus cross in front of the sun, the beach includes a monument commemorating the explorer, as well as a lighthouse. Continue your visit with the discovery of the Faarumai waterfalls hidden by a forest of chestnut trees and tropical vegetation, then head to the nearby Arahoho Blowhole, where waves from the ocean crash through a gap in the rocks, creating a spectacular burst. On the way towards the West Coast, enjoy a splendid view across Matavai Bay to Papeete and Moorea at the Taharaa point of view.
The excursion ends with the visit of the marae of Arahurahu, an ancient Polynesian temple. It is one of the best preserved on the island. Imagine the Polynesian meetings and ceremonial gatherings in this sacred spot. Your guide will also explain the ancien rituals of the Polynesian cultures and the flora of the island.
