Each of our travel advisors has their own way of bringing your dream vacation to life. Vaireva, however, doesn’t just make them come true — she exceeds even the most extravagant expectations with a smile. Proof is, in 2017, while she was working as a concierge at a renowned four-star resort, she earned the most prestigious recognition a concierge can receive: the Clefs d'Or. This ultimate distinction is awarded only to the most experienced professionals, after years of proven success and a rigorous application process. A luxury hospitality expert with a deep knowledge of our destination, this professional, with an impressive career and a soft voice, shares more about herself here.
It is the epitome of luxury. From the lobby bar of the InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa, the sunset behind Moorea is exceptionally gorgeous. The InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa is a magnificent and spacious resort. The hallmark of quality: the highly skilled staff, such as Thibaud, the Concierge Manager and Clefs d'Or Concierge, who always provides top-tier service. The pinnacle of luxury is to be found at The Brando, one of the most exclusive resorts of our islands. The tranquility at the spa is unmatched. The Pearl Resorts of Tahiti is a local hotel chain that perfectly combines international luxury standards with the essence of Polynesia, just like the gem of the group, the 5-star hotel: Le Taha'a by Pearl Resorts. Located on a secluded islet of Taha'a, it feels far from the whole world and out of time. Perhaps that is why you can feel this one-of-a-kind mana everywhere. The hotel borders a coral garden, and the outstanding Havaiki Nui restaurant, perched in the trees, offers an uninterrupted view of the lagoon. Vaireva fell in love at first sight with the Fare Glace and its divine homemade ice cream — perfect for a sweet, refreshing break at any time of our sunny days.
Vaireva, just like every single one of us here at Moana Voyages, is a big fan of good food. In her own words, 'I loooove food.' That being said, it is easy to see why her favorite activity is the Tama'a Street Food tour in Moorea. This tour offers a unique way to experience our culture, as our plates reflect the French, Asian, and Pacific influences, blended with our history and local products. On the menu: the must-try dishes, and we’re not only talking about the famous marinated raw fish with coconut milk, (i.e. poisson cru), but also our daily delicacies. For example: the casse-croûte chao men, a typical on-the-go snack, or the pai, a treat that you simply can’t get enough of. Our advice: start this tour on an empty stomach, because you will be full in no time!
If you are in Moorea, take a delicious break at the Pura Vida food truck, located at Cook's Bay shopping center. What makes it stand out? The superior quality of the ingredients. For example, the honey is sourced from a local beekeeper of the island, and the fish is bought from a local fisherman, often in the morning. Vaireva highly recommends the lobster sandwich— an experience on its own.
According to Vaireva, the Black Pearl of Tahiti is the finest souvenir to bring back from our islands, whether as a pendant, a bracelet, or a ring. If you’re looking to take home a piece of our lagoon, we have the perfect address, read more here.
