Born and raised in Tahiti, I lived my whole childhood between Mahina and Papenoo. Since I come from a family of hunters, I was taught to respect and protect the environment. Tahiti is such a beautiful island, its fauna and flora are sacred. As a student, I went to France to pursue my studies. Thankful of that experience, I then chose to come back to Tahiti to work in the marketing field. Joining Moana Voyages is an honor, and I am pleased to begin my career there.
Your ideal stay in French Polynesia?
The ideal way to spend a holiday in French Polynesia is to spend 2 days in Tahiti, touring the island and visiting typical places such as the Papeete market, the Pointe Vénus beach and Teahupo’o. To top it all, a sunset aperitif at Le Moana restaurant.
For the rest of the trip, I recommend 3 days in Moorea, the sister island, to discover its lagoon, beaches and the Rotui juice factory. And finally, 3 days to explore the beautiful island of Taha’a, followed by 3 days in Huahine, for its setting and authenticity.
Your favorite place in French Polynesia?
Without a doubt, my favorite place in French Polynesia is Papenoo, more particularly its valley. As I grew up there, I love its landscapes, waterfalls and hikes. It is probably the best way to explore the inside of the island of Tahiti.
Your favorite restaurant?
The “Lezard jaune Café”, in Moorea, is the perfect place to eat with your friends and family. There, you will find revisited Polynesian dishes. Everything is excellent, tasty and generous. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the waiters make you feel comfortable so you can enjoy a unique culinary experience!
