Product & Marketing Assistant

In a few words

I was named Tamara after my grandfather’s schooner which stopped by the Tuamotu islands, it means "child of the sun" in reo Tahiti. Until the age of 10, I lived in Huahine where my parents managed a guesthouse. Surrounded by lush nature, turquoise lagoon and tourists from different countries, I was exposed to the tourism industry from an early age. Tourism is for me synonymous with sharing, warmth and authenticity, values which led me after my 2-year technical diploma in business, to pursue with one year diploma in tourism. My first professional experience started in Tahiti Tourism and consisted in participating to the promotion of the islands of Tahiti. Then, I worked for Tahiti Nui Travel as a travel designer, before joining the Civil Aviation Direction to discover the administrative world. Finally, today I am glad to work for Moana Voyages and to participate to the creation and promotion of our unique products.

Your ideal stay in French Polynesia?

1 day in Tahiti to relax from the flight, 5 days in Bora Bora to enjoy the view from your overwater bungalow, try a lagoon tour, have lunch on a secluded, ride a jet-ski and visit a coral garden. To top it all, 5 days in Tetiaroa to feel utterly alone and relax at the spa.

Your favorite place in French Polynesia?

Without a doubt, the beach of the former Bali Hai in Huahine. It offers a wonderful view over Raiatea and the mountain of the lying woman (which was also inspired Disney to create the character of Tefiti in Moana). When sitting on this beach for the sunset with a sweet cocktail in you hand, "magic" takes a whole other meaning.

Your favorite restaurant?

My bucket list of the restaurants I still have to try in Polynesia is quite long... However, I was pleasantly surprised by the gastronomic dishes concocted by the chef of « Le Mahana ». The meals are refined and tasty, a real feast for the taste buds! For more authenticity, I also recommend the food truck « Chez Blanc », located in Arue (Tahiti).
