I am Teranuheiti CHUNG TIEN, I was born in Papeete but I grew up with my family on the island of Rurutu. We moved to Tahiti when I was just 3...
After obtaining my BTS in Tourism, I worked one year at the remote sales department of Air Tahiti, but due to the pandemic, my contract was not renewed. Thus, I took a "sabbatical" year to organize my wedding and then started working at the Central Reservation of the Pearl Resorts.
Now, I am part of the planning team of the Moana Voyages agency and during my leisure time I like to dance and get to know more about our Polynesian culture.
Your ideal stay in French Polynesia?
3 days in Moorea to enjoy both land and lagoon activities.
3 days in Bora Bora "the pearl of the Pacific".
2 days in Huahine to discover its authenticity and the warm welcome of its people.
5 days in Rurutu to explore its caves and learn more about its unique culture (if you ever get the chance to witness a traditional wedding...)
3 days in Tahiti to buy souvenirs and take a look at the folkloric life of the market of Papeete on a Sunday morning, jump in a 4x4 with Tahiti Safari Expedition, go to a food truck and eat a good steak with French fries with barbecue sauce and garlic butter, and if you have a great appetite, try the raw fish with coconut milk!
Your favorite place in French Polynesia?
The island of Rurutu, "my home", to recharge my batteries with my family whenever I have the opportunity. I also like to go to the Mara'a's cave in Papara during sunset or to relax by the sea, especially on Fridays at the end of the day, after a long week.
Your favorite restaurant?
I am a foodlover so I cannot choose just one... Even though my mom is probably the best cook, If I had to choose one restaurant, i would go for Le Manoa in Taravao, as it offers refined meals made with local products.
